Machourek was born in Moravie in 1913.

He studied at the School of decorative Arts at Prague and also at the School of Fine Arts, Prague.

In 1939 he worked on one of the biggest mosaics in the same city. Six years later, in 1945, Machourek attended the Fine Arts School at Paris.

The artist settled in Monaco where his works were shown.

Machourek’s paintings and his designs in fresco and mosaics are reflecting the interior intensive temperament of this poetic artist.

In 1959 he obtained the 11 Grand Prix de Peinture Taurine at the Salon International d’Art Plastique.

For over seven years, I have highly recommended Solomon Cohen to my clients for all their restoration and appraisal needs. He has restored not only oil and paper art but also ornate antique frames.

Mr. Cohen exhibits great technical skill, professionalism, and impeccable manners. He has been a great asset to the services I can provide in my art sales and framing business. His work has enhanced my professional reputation in the La Jolla art community.
